Canisius High School is launching the CHS Sports Network on February 18th, 2012. The network’s inaugural game will feature the top two varsity teams in The Buffalo News Power Poll, #2 Canisius hosting #1 St. Joseph’s. The stream will go live from the school’s website, www.canisiushigh.org starting at 3:30pm. The game will be called by past parent John Murphy, the voice of the Buffalo Bills and sports anchor WIVB Channel 4, and current parent, Jack Armstrong, color analyst for the Toronto Raptors television broadcasts and the NBA on TSN.

The official web address for the CHS Sports Network is http://events.powerstream.net/003/02616/2012_CanisiusPlayer/?contid=default viewers will be able to access this link to the streaming broadcast from a button on the school’s homepage, www.canisiushigh.org.

The video broadcast will feature the varsity game of the Canisius vs. St. Joseph’s triple-header. The freshman Crusaders and Marauders tip off at noon followed by the JV teams at 1:30. The Bernard J. Kennedy '49 Field House traditionally reaches capacity before the tip off of the varsity matchup at 3:30pm. In addition to reaching Canisius High alumni that are out of the area and not able to attend, we are encouraging area supporters who will not be attending the game to tune in to the live broadcast. Future plans to accommodate overflow call for a closed circuit feed to the Montante Cafeteria where the game will be available on HD TVs.
